Phoenix is Rising is one of our most detailed masks available. Each feather has detail. This mask was created for the feeling we Venetians had on a night in 1996 when our beloved Fenice Opera House caught fired and was completely destroyed. For a second time since its origination, the Fenice, rose from its ashes. As we stood watching the Opera House burn, all Venetian covered their faces from fear of the fire spreading to nearby buildings and for fear to lose the theater for a second time. Therefore, this is a tribute to Fenice and the emotions we felt on this night.
